I Didn’t Find the Organic Life, the Organic Life Found Me
I didn’t find the organic life, the organic life found me. This is a quote that I coined a few years ago when I took a look at my story to where I am now. I always say that I didn’t find the organic life, the organic life found me because it is true. This has been a 9 year journey that I have been on now with living an organic lifestyle. This lifestyle has literally saved my life as I have mentioned in previous blogs. I am who I am today because of the hardships that I went through about 9 years ago. I have never truly opened up to many people about why I live an organic lifestyle. In 2018, I am committed to being more open. So, here is my story.

Thankful for Organics
I am so thankful for organics. This is the time of year where we reflect on all the things we are thankful for. Talk Organic to Me
Talk organic to me. Yes, it is true. I love when people talk to me about organic food and the organic lifestyle. My already light blue/green eyes get lighter and my whole body is glowing when I am having a conversation about organics. You can literally see my pupils dilating. Why do I like when people talk organic to me? Well, it is simple. I have the largest passion for organics and it sets my soul on fire. Continue reading “Talk Organic to Me”
Organics at the Nightclub and Bar Show
A couple of weeks ago I attended the Nightclub and Bar Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a convention geared towards those in the nightclub and bar industry. At the show, they sampled different liquor, wine, and beer brands. My mission at the show was to find organic liquors, wines, and beers. I was able to find a few organic products this year at the show. Continue reading “Organics at the Nightclub and Bar Show”
Expo West 2017
Expo West 2017 has been the best Expo I have ever attended. This was my 4th year attending and it was amazing. There were about 85,000 attendees this year. Saying the show was huge is an understatement. This year there were booths in the Hilton, the Marriott, 3 floors of the Anaheim Convention Center, and the Anaheim Arena. I normally can do the show in 2 days but this year I attended all 3 days. There were so many new organic and natural products that I can’t wait to share with all of you. It is an exciting time for the natural and organic industry. Just by the growing amount of booths and attendees, the organic and natural industry is growing tremendously!
Just a reminder for those of you who are unfamiliar, the Natural Products Expo is where companies from all sectors of the organic/natural industry demo their products for distributors, food brokers, retailers, consultants, health professionals, press members, and bloggers. It is THE show to attend if you have a natural and organic product that you want to demo or if you are on the other side and are looking for products or suppliers.
Trends This Year
- Plant Based Milk
- Paleo and Ketogenic diet products
- More Vegan products
- High Protein snacks and desserts
- Nitrogen infused cold brew coffee

“Good Food Is Not A Luxury, It’s A Right”
“Good food is not a luxury, it’s a right.” This quote right here is everything I stand for. A couple of months ago, I wrote a blog post called “Make America Organic Again“, where I touched on the topic that organic food is a right. This week I went to the new Lucky’s Market that just opened up in Plantation, Florida ( a suburb of Fort Lauderdale). As I walked up to the cash register, I saw this huge quote hung up on the wall. It said “Good food is not a luxury, it’s a right.” I saw it and I immediately took a picture of it. The meaning of that quote is something that I strongly believe in.

A few days ago, I came to realize how “organically thankful” I truly am. Don’t get me wrong, every day I feel thankful. But, I felt it even more in the past few days. I went to my grandparents’ house over the weekend for a family dinner. My grandma specifically bought organic food items to serve at dinner. It just made me so happy when she kept pointing out and saying, “Sara, this is organic, this is organic, and this is organic”, to everything that was organic. Even though my family has supported me on my organic lifestyle for the past 8 years, something the other day sparked in me. I just felt more blessed than ever.

Last week I was in Seattle, Washington. Seattle is one of the top 10 most organic cities in the United States. Since I knew that beforehand, I was so excited to visit new organic places. Even though I had a list already of the places I wanted to visit, I forgot that Cascadian Farm was out of Washington. I think the reason I forgot was because they are not actually in Seattle. One of the days on my trip, we took a drive to Diablo Lake, which is a beautiful mountainous area famous for its’ turquoise colored lake. On the way, we passed by this little house situated on beautiful land with the sign of Cascadian Farm Organic. I was so excited to have seen it and I even think I was screaming a bit from the excitement. I must have been so annoying but that’s what finding organic places does to me. We made a u-turn since it was on the left side of the road and we went to the farm.
